The route brings Tarangire National Park → Ngorongoro Crater → Lake Manyara National Park into one connected itinerary. Each overnight has a practical role in the journey, balancing time in the landscape with the transfers needed to move between places. Baobabs and elephant country
Explore Tarangire’s baobab country on a game drive, following the park tracks towards riverine habitats and open grassland. Continue to your lodge after a picnic lunch, allowing time to settle in before dinner.
Tarangire’s river corridors, baobabs and mixed bush give a drive its changing rhythm. Look beyond the largest animals to birds, tracks and the smaller details your guide can point out. The precise route follows conditions rather than a promised list of sightings. The day closes at Marera Valley Lodge, with the meal basis shown in the programme.

Inside the Ngorongoro Crater
Descend into the crater for a game drive across grassland, wetlands and woodland. Enjoy a picnic stop before leaving the crater and continuing to your overnight accommodation.
The crater is a different landscape from the surrounding highlands, with open grassland, wetland and woodland habitats close together. The daily sequence needs to work with access arrangements and the onward drive, with time allowed for a meal stop and wildlife viewing. The day closes at Marera Valley Lodge, with the meal basis shown in the programme.

Lake Manyara and the road home
Explore Lake Manyara’s groundwater forest and lakeside habitats before returning towards Arusha. Your guide will adapt the drive to park conditions and your onward travel arrangements.
Lake Manyara brings woodland and Rift Valley scenery into the journey. Rainfall and lake levels change the feel of the park, and the drive can focus on habitats and birdlife as well as larger wildlife. Keep expectations open rather than planning around a guaranteed tree-climbing lion sighting.
